This removal tool was created based on the necessity of cleaning up failed installs due to MSI being crappy. It had a very high failure rate for install AND uninstall. Why this tool exists = Years ago, Norton use the Microsoft Installer (MSI) technology which sucked. I posted this as a comment response, thought I'd share with the larger audience: I do not claim or attempt to represent Symantec or Norton in any way, just want to share good information. I offer this not to sway you guys, but just to offer helpful information. It's less Norton than Microsoft dependencies on the operating system which break, which is why this tool is available to users.
